I know litle of my family beyond my parents. My father was Harold Edward Clowes, born 1900, place unknown. My mother was Sarah Rich, (Reich), born, i believe Leeds England, of immigrant Jewish parents, Adolph Reich, and Lena Grossman, Adolph and Lena met and married in Brooklyn USA, after fleeing from Eastern Europe.
My mother had a brother Percy, and a sister Rose. My father had brothers, Arthur(killed in the first world war). He had a son Arthur Victor Clowes (Darky) who became a Fighter pilot in WW2 and a battle of Britain Ace. He was also in No.1 Squadron in France from the start of ww2, before Dunkirk. Other brothers of my father were, Alfred. Frederick, and Richard. Two sisters Emma and Sis, probably Cicerly. I had a sister Irene Rosetta Daphne,Born 1921 Deceased, and a Brother Arthur, born 1929. My Paternal grandfather was, I believe, John or John Henry Clowes, but I have no knowledge of my grandmother.
