My family is from Cooley, Ridenhour, and my exhusband Rudolph R. Cortez desendants in the 1900's. I would like to trace further back. I would like to hear from anyone who knows anything about my family.
My Dad's side is mostly TN and MI, he had three brothers and one sister. They met in TN, when she was a Nurse, married and moved to CA. My mom's side is IL and MI, she has one sister and two brothers. She has living relatives in IL, AZ and CA, that I know of. My Dad owned a Rubber Stamp Company in Long Beach, CA, as well as his father did in TN. He has living brothers and childern in TN, TX and CA, that I know of.
My ex-husbands side is Hawaii. He has 16 brothers and sisters, his mother name is Julia Cortez, his father died 1n 1999.
I never met any of the Cooleys,exept as a small child, I remeber an Uncle George and an Aunt Edith. I just found out (on this website) that I have three half-brothers from Earl Walter Cooleys prior marriages in Tenn (Michael P., Earl Jr. and Jimmie)from the 1920's through the 1930's. My father is Earl Walter Cooley Sr. born on 8-9-1914 and died on 7-21-1995. My mother Betty Lou (Ridenhower) Cooley born on 1-29-1923 in Illinois and died on 1-7-1998. I was born 10-24-48, I was married to Rudolph R. Cortez and have three childern Jamie, Michelle and Christopher. My sister Mary Margaret (Cooley) Mullins married and divorced John Mullins, they had three boys, John, Matthew and Mark, she died 1-31-2000, which I found out on this website. I don't know how... My brother John Steven Cooley is alive in California, he has an ex-wife named Debbie, and they had a daughter named Jennifer. He then married Penny Hull, and she had two sons from a prior marriage, Roy and Josh.
