my family came from two different states where they didnt have such a good life. the states that they came from were ireland and italy some of my family were born and grew up here in the US too but not alot of them. some of them i never met but i got to hear the stories about them.
so here is a little info about my family history that you might enjoy.

on my irish side of the family i have a great great grandfather named Cornelius Meehan, who was born in Country Cork. He came to the US when he was 18 years ols. his family valued god, family, and had a good work ethic.

most of the irish folks came over because of the potato famine that start in 1845-1848 and so on.

on my italian side of my family i have a grandmother who was on a boat from sicily in 1909. my great grandfather was a fisherman in New Orleans and his parents were born in italy. they moved to stlouis and went to st. ambrose school untill their dad lost a leg in an accident. so they had to quiet school and work in order to help take care of the family.
