| About Our Family Research |
|
Our family have shared in a family reunion for over fourteen years. When I was a child, it started as a birthday dinner for Grandmother Woodburn. All the relatives would meet on a picnic in the woods or at one our homes. It is always held the first sunday of May.
My Aunt Merle Graham has always been the historian of the family, doing some research and thanks to a good memory is able to recall many details of our family connections. In April 1988 with the help of her daughter Earline G. McDuffie, they compiled a book going back five generations on the both the Cain and Woodburn lineage. This has served to be a very valued tool in our family. Now I am attempting to carry this research further by filling blank data, interesting stories and new connections. For example, my mother-in-law (Audrey Cook) has been able to connect the relation of my husband James Paul and myself. We are fifth cousins once removed, this is on the Albert R. Woodburn lineage. Interesting isn't it. Till more news is available.
