I started this research after my borther-in-Law, William H. Daniels gave us the papers for George to become a member of the
Mayflower Society. His family goes back to Myles Standish on his mother's side. He belongs to the Society now with the General Number of 41392 & Society number 1064. His Great great Grandfather was Ahijah Highsmith whose name appears on the San Jacinto monument in Houston, TX. His Uncle Benjamin Highsmith was the last courier to leave the Alamo in San Antonion, TX.
On my side my ancestors come from Norway, Sweden, Irelend & Great Britain. It's a family legend that Lucy Walter the first wife of King Charles II, was a sister of one of our Walter family ancestors. Both of our familys have lots of interesting legends & real facts! We also have Turners, Winslows, Dotys, Andersons, Fossums, & Petersons in our combined Family tree!
