This page relates to the Counts family of St.Francois County,Missouri
starting with my Great Grandfather Joseph Lide Counts of Farmington,Mo. Joseph's son Finis and Finis's son Reuben.
A short history of how we arrived at this point.
Johannes Coonse (Kuntze) arrived port Philadelphia on ship Joyce, Dec. 1730 from
Niederndorf Germany. Born 1706 died abt 1777. My lineage is as follows Nicoles Kunce 1st was Born 1730 Died 1797 Grainger Co.Tn./Nicholas Counts 2nd Born 1752 Fredrick Co Va. Died 1838 at Jefferson Co. Tn..wife was Eve./Nicholas Counts 3rd
Born 1790 Grainger Co. Tn. Died in 1841 his wife was Martha Patsy Hammers./William Parks Counts Born 1816 Died 1862 at St. Genevieve,Mo. his wife was Sara Elizabeth (Faulkner)Forkner./Joseph Lide Counts Born 1846 Died 1918 at Farmington Mo. his wife was Mary Keturrah Miller/Finis Edwin Counts Born 1870 Died 1952 his wife was Rilla Jane Pinkston/Reuben Edwin Counts Born 1908 Died Feb 10th 1997 his wife (my mother) was Edna Juanita LaRose.
Finis and Rilla had 10 children..This is about their son Reuben and his family.
I want to thank Jerry Counts for his historical research and documentation.
This Homepage is ongoing and updated as events happen..I have put in a lot of memories and photo's of the past..some of the present and will hopefully in the future..
