Tennessee: Counties of Greene, Jefferson, Hamblen, & Cocke
Kentucky: Counties of Hickman, McCracken, Graves, Nelson, Carlisle, & Harrison
Kansas: Counties of Leavenworth, Finney, Ford, Barber, Hamilton, Gray, Franklin, Greenwood, Kearney, Reno, Miami, Woodson, Howard, Elk, & Morris
Missouri: Counties of Johnson, Buchanan, Platte, & Howell
Nebraska: County of Johnson
Texas: Counties of Falls & Bexar
Arkasas: County of Crawford
Alabama: County of Marshall
California: Counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Butte, Mendocino, San Josquin, Plumas, Kern, Glenn, Sacramento, Santa Clara, Monterey, Contra Costa, Santa Clara, Lake, & Alameda
Indiana: Counties of Parke & Vandenburg
Oregon: Counties of Wasco, Lane, & Multnomah
Washington: County of Yakima
In each of the above referenced locations, is found at least one Courtney family that descends from the Courtney's that were residing in the following Virginia Counties:
King George, Westmoreland, Fauquier, Stafford, & Prince William.
