Looking for info regarding the Johnson/Johnston family who came to the US in 1948 abourd the "Diadem" bound for New York via Liverpool. Records show they were coming from Ireland. John b. abt 1803 & Mary Ann b. abt 1808. Children: Angelina; Sophia; Richard; William; John R & Cornelia (born at sea). Can't find anything Prior to thier voyage nor afterwards until John R (my grt grt GF) lived in California in 1900.

Sarah Hodges b. 1829 (unwed) mother to Joseph Samuel Hodges b. 1855 (my grt grt GF. He stayed with a "Wilmore" family prior to coming to the US, dont now who these people were to him). Sarah's parents were James b. abt 1807 & Grace b. abt 1809. All hail from South Molton, Devonshire, Eng. Except there's confusion as to whether Joseph was born in Kidderminster rather than South Molton. Any info on Sarah's family prior to coming to the US would be great.
