My Father's (Thomas William Cowley) parents Imigrated to the USA in 1913 and settled in Vandemere, North Carolina. This is the year my Father was born.
My Father's Parents were Harry Cowley and Ada Elizabeth (Morgan) Cowley. They came to America on the ship just prior to the Lusitainia which was sunk by a German Submarine.
He and my Mother (Margaret Tobetha (Thorpe) was married in 1934. My father was 21 years old and my mother was 15 years old. They had three children. Their first child (my sister) was born on Feb 3rd, 1942; I was born on July 16, 1943; My brother was born on March 16, 1947.
The family, being complete, was on it's way down the highway of life with the ups and downs as is common to all families. The "Great Depression" had it's toll on our family with hard times and hugh challengies.
I, William Thomas Cowley, am now 66 years old and am continuing work on the Cowley family tree. Anyone with information that can be useful will be greatly appreciated.
My Grandfather was superintendant of the Public Water Works in Liverpool, England and my Grandmother was a school teacher, also in Liverpool.
