The Crane and Hall Family Trees

Updated October 31, 2001

About Our Family Research

I began researching my family name and my husband's family about the early 1980s. Fortunately, a relative of mind, Graham Hall, had been researching the Hall family for many, many years so, he was able to send me a copy of the 'Hall Tree'. His information had come from family bibles as well as a qualified researcher in Scotland and he had also travelled to Scotland to search out living relatives. The information concerning my husbands surname, Crane, required much help from various relatives and this included copies of birth, marriage and death certificates. I have also explored the LDS site as well as the IGI databases as well as numerous other databases and mailing lists mainly from England and Scotland. Besides these two family names, I am researching, as far as I can possibly go, back from the parent's surnames on both sides of the family. This involves many other surnames and has taken me mainly to England, Scotland and Ireland.
