Gran was living in Montague Road, Smethwick when she married in 1911 and the wedding was witnessed by Charles Dolman and Zillah Wedge, but Charles is not the brother of Joseph, probably an uncle. The Electoral Roll for 1910 shows the house was occupied by John Badams and his family, but the 1911 census shows him to be living in Rolfe Street, Smethwick. After checking the Electoral Rolls for 1911-1912, John Badams is still shown to reside at the house at Montague Road. It seems that he owned the house and Evelyn rented it from him. St. Chad's church stood on the corner of Shireland Road and Edith Road, Smethwick. It was built in 1900 and demolished in 1968. A 'Jet garage now stands on the site. (2010)
Joseph lived, with his family, at 12 Mines Street, Wolverhampton and Evelyn lived, with her family, at 10 Wesley Street, Wolverhampton. Both moved to Smethwick, Joseph Dolman to 90 Montague Road, and the Evelyn Wedge to 228 Montague Road.
