Jan Czyzewski and Urshula Piontkowska were married abt 1850 in Russian Poland near Warsaw. Their son, Vincenty, b. 1874, d. 1922, married Nellie Ochlahowska b. abt 1867, d. abt 1906. Vincenty arrived in US (NY) in 1895 and settled in Worcester and Chelsea, MA. They had 5 children: John, Frank, Paul, Helen & Mary. All born between 1898 and 1903. Vincenty is buried at an unmarked plot in Holy Cross cemetery in Malden, MA. Abt 1919, the 3 boys moved to Amesbury, MA to work at Merrimac Hat Corp. It was there that they changed their name from Czyzewski to Cynewski.
Genealogical connections to the old country are non-existent. Cannot find Vincenty on NY passenger list nor in 1900 census.
