Warren M. Crothers m Nora Miller abt 1878. By October 1897 the Crothers family left Madison co Oh. and moved to Shelby co. Oh. The Crothers children, Ottis S./Myrtle M./Ersa A./Warren B. / Grace /Homer F./John A./& Frederich.
In Jackson twp. Shelby co Oh. the Crothers family farmed several acres of land.
In 1903 Ottis married Florence Kress.
In 1903 Myrtle M. Crothers married John F. Dowden.
John & Myrtle Crothers Dowden started their married life in the city of Sidney, Oh. John Dowden was employed at the Western Ohio traction depot. In February 1917 Myrtle Crothers Dowden died of complications of tuberculosis. The oldest child was placed with his grandparents William & Florence Woodruff Dowden. The other children were placed in the Clark co. Oh. childrens home.
The first born was named Loren Ottis Dowden. Ruby Grace Dowden was born in 1906. Forest Leo Dowden was born in 1908. The fourth child Nora Ethel Dowden was born in 1910 and the fifth child born to William & Florence was Wilbur Roy Dowden in 1912.

In year Warren B. Crothers m Myrtle Littler.
In 1906 Grace Crothers m Albert Gorham.
In year Homer F. m Rosella Beightler.
In year John A. Crothers -
In 1937 Fred H. Crothers m Majorie Sharp.

By 1910 Warren, wife Nora and family left Shelby co. for residence in Union co. Ohio. In 1926 Nora died and their residence was Route # 5 Dayton, Ohio. The following year Warren became bedfast and his daughter Grace attended to his care in her home. A grandaughter Mable Crothers Cowdy and family were at the home assisting in her grandfathers care, when her daughter
Betty Jean Cowdy aged abt. 2 years was fatally hit by a traction car.
