John Bear and Catherine Bice lived and died in Jefferson Co. Mostly living near and on the family farm near Brooksburgh Catherine died in 1870 John 1878 both buried on the farm. John was the son of Christian Bear and Nancy Hall Bear Catherine Daughter of Dennis Bice and Phebe Demaree. The Bears settled Indiana about 1812 and are still in that area though we all have scattered we still are in touch today.
