This is the line of Richard and Patience Curry who have been proven back to an estimated birth time for Richard in Va. in about 1760 according to his son Levi's statement on a census report for Caldwell Parish, La.. I have visited many old courthouses in the counties of Ga. with my sister. She lives in Georgia and it helped a lot as we visited Atlanta Archives and outlying counties. She and I have become very familiar with the very old county land grant, marriage records, etc.. My wonderful husband has been my companion researcher in many of the old counties all the way from Ga.,Ala.and to La.. He and I have spent much time in the Richmond, Va. archives more than one time. I have been into the archives of N.C., S.C., all the way to La..This has been over a period of about 15 years. This colonial line has been very difficult to get to the water and back to Ireland as the family stories go. They were pre-revolutionary in their residents.
