Charles was born in 1761 in Cambridge Mass and moved to Conn then New York were he died in 1787 2 months before his son Charles was born his wife went back to Conn were she married a man by the name of Loomis, who raised her son Charles and taught him the coopers trade when Charles became of age he went to Pit Penn built a boat with a copper shop on it and headed down the Ohio river were he stopped at the settlements and sold his barrels. he made it to Indiana about 1820 stopping in Jennings county were he died in 1866. He had 19 children between 2 marriages.
