The purpose of this Home Page is to try to discover unknown further links. I'll put the family tree on it as soon as I have discovered how to do it. Maybe it will represent a useful tool for other people. The family in a nutshell: My father's side: The Swedish branch: Johan Ödberg emigrated from Örnsköldsvik and settled in Ghent (Belgium) around 1860. As his uncle was one of the founding fathers of that city, there are still quite a bit a souvenirs left (museum, Johan Ödbergsällskapet folklore society, etc.). He was a wood merchant and shipowner. Names related in Sweden: Forsberg, Ahlnander, Hay, Corin, Quarles van Ufford, af Sandeberg, Andersson, Lindahl, Kjellberg, Nilsson, etc. The English branch: John Phillips emigrated from Hastings to Nieuwpoort in 1824. His daughter Sophy married Johan Ödberg. They were my great-grandparents. My mother's side: Marque, Hetten, Ectors, Raulino, Hamande, De Graeuwe, Blaimont, etc.
