Lawrence Pearsonwas born in Pennsylvania, died in North Carolina. He married Lydia.

 Includes NotesNotes for Lawrence Pearson:
Lawrence Pearson came to North Carolina from Pennsylvania. The route he followed or how long a period of time was involved to reach North Carolina hasn't been established. He settled in Wilkes County, North Carolina, and probably has his family with him when he came.

There is proof he was in Wilkes County as early as 1793. In the Register of Deeds office in the courthouse, Wilkesboro, North Carolina, (Book B-1, page 322) a deed has been recorded proving that Lawrence Pearson bought land in 1793. An abstract of that deed follows:

"On February 5, 1793, Lawrence Pearson paid to Richard Allen, Sheriff, a sum of four pounds, one shilling for 100 acres of land lying on the South side of Waggon Road, Wilkes County. The land was lost by William McGill to satisfy Reuben White. Date of land bearing March 25, 1780."

On page 324 of the same book (Book B-1) another deed is recorded for an additional 81 acres of land. An abstract of the deed follows:

"On February 5, 1794 Lawrence Pearson paid to Richard Allen, Sheriff, one pound, 19 shillings for 81 acres of land lying on the North side of Trading Road bordering on Benjamin Elledge's line near Sloan's Plantation. This land had been granted to William McGill March 25, 1780. This tract of land was sold to satisfy James Potts."

The exact location is not clear. It lies on Little Warriors Creek somewhere between the communities of Boomer and Goshen. On April 5, 1809 Lydia sold 30 acres of land to William Rich for the sum of $30.00. This 30 acres are described as lying on Little Warriors Creek near Pedley Pearson's Springs.

In the 1800 Census listing was four sons and five daughters (no names are given), but only three sons and three daughters are listed in his will.

Lawrence Pearson made a will duly proven in open court during the February term A.D. 1808. This will was probated in the Clerk of Court's Office in 1807.

"In the name of God, Amen. I, Larrance Pearson, considering the uncertainty of this normal life and being weak in body tho' of sound and perfect mind and memory, blessed by God for the same, do make and publish this last will and testament in manner and form following, to wit:
