My name is Vetty BLANTON DECKER. I am a descendant of the BLANTONS of Duplin Co., NC There are many BLANTON researchers. My personal research began in June 1991. Unfortunately all my research went up in flames in Feb. I now live in the sunny state of FL and would like to meet my BLANTON cousins in the area.

Her father was JAMES A. HARTLEY b. in SC. His parents were from Scotland.
Great-gradfather: DAVID WELLS BLANTON b. 2 Jun 1857 in Duplin Co., NC. He married ROXAYAN EDENFIELD. She is the grand-daughter of WHISKEY JIM EDENFIELD.
GGGrandfather: DAVID BLANTON b. abt. 1825 in Duplin Co., NC. He married Mary LAST NAME UNKNOWN. She is buried in the BLANTON CEMETERY in Duplin Co., NC
GGGGrandfather: ABRAHAM BLANTON b. BET. 1801-1802 in Sampson/Duplin Co., NC. He married MARY J. WILSON.
GGGGGrandfather: JOSHUA BLANTON b. bet. 1760-1765 in Prince Edward Co., VA. He married MARY ALDERMAN AND her sister KEZIAH ALDERMAN. Daughters of JOHN ALDERMAN and MARY CASHWELL.
