Hi, I have been researching our family and wanted to share it for the family to see. Also, if anyone has something to add or correct feel free to get in touch with me.
Stefano or "Stevie" as we called him was born April 13th 1899 in Campofelice, Italy on the island of Sicily. His father Santo and mother Francesca brought him along with his uncle Giuseppe to America. They left Naples and arrived at Ellis Island on the Konig Albert docking on March 2nd, 1905. They traveled to settle in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania their cousins were already there. On the manifest for the Konig the last name is mispelled DiFrancesco , some where along the way it was then changed to DeFrancesco. Some people use DiFrancesca and some use DeFrancesco.
Stephen married Rose Grace Moreci who's family is from Altavilla Milicia, Italy (only 15 miles form his home town in Sicily. He worked at the local grocerey that his family owned. They were married on September 9, 1922.
Rose will be celebrating her 99th birthday this year on July 2, 2006!
