About Our Family Research
The James C. Daugherty family of Hastings, Nebraska traces its lineage back to County Donegal in Ireland. Hugh, the great grandfather of James C. Daugherty came from County Donegal in the 1790's and settled in western Pennsylvania. His grandson, George fought in the Civil War and settled in West Virginia. George's son, James immigrated from West Virginia to Nebraska in the late 1800's. He had 13 children and this is their history.
