I have found some information about Loren DeHeer, thanks to someone in Macon Co. Missouri, who did a look-up. Loren's mother was Sarah Meador; father John DeHeer. John's father was Alawynn DeHeer, mother Jennie DeZwarte. Does anyone have any information about these individuals?

Thank you so much for your information. Do you have dates of birth and death for Alywyn? You have his wives names as Janna and Ida. I had heard that he had 3 wives, Anna, Jeanette, and Ida. Are Anna, and Jeanette the same, Janna?
Also, what do you know of Ida May Roff. My Grandfather, George Roff had an aunt Ida Roff, born 1854, Died 1920, who was married to a Stunkard. Could this be the same Ida Roff? I really appreciate the facts you have given me. Shirley

According to the information I have, Alewyn was born in 1846 in the Netherlands. He died in 1921 in Marion County, Iowa and is buried in T'Lam cemetery in Pella, IA. My source indicates that Janna and Anna are both buried there, too.
Alewyn's first wife's name was Janna DeZwarte and they were married 5/14/1869 in Marion County. On 8/8/1896 he married Anna Marie Muilenburg and on 8/30/1897 he married Ida May Roff. These dates came from a search of Iowa Marriages from 1851-1900 on the Ancestry.com website.
It is my understanding that Alewyn gave Ida May's father $500 to allow him to marry her. Based on the 1900 Census records, Ida May was born in November of 1880.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Kathie
