I am originally from Canada. In my search I have found out that I am 75% American Indian. I was brought up on an Indian Reserve called Cowessess. I left as soon as I was old enough to marry and begin a life of my own. My father has mentioned several times that we have relatives in the United States but no one ever tried to find them. The other 25% of me is Irish and French. The Irish comes from my mothers side of the family who is half American Indian and half Irish. So with that said I know that my relatives on the Delorme side are part American Indian and part French.
