I live in Sydney Australia, born in Rose Hill Mauritius. I am the fifth child of Lindsay Philip RYLEY/RYLAY DELMAGE and Marie-Josephe MAUD HOUBERT. I have traced my family history (Paternal side) as follows. My Grandfather was John Augustus DELMAGE born on 12th of May 1879 in Flacq Mauritius. He married Marie Malzine ROSE DAGORNE on 4th of July 1910 and died on 21 of October 1934. His father was Charles Frederick GARRET DELMAGE born in 1851, he married Marie Louisa MARCEL on 6th January 1873 in Port Louis Mauritius and died on the 11th of March 1907 in Vacoas Mauritius. His father was Charles Frederick Garret Delmage born between 1820-1835 possibly in Ireland, married Catherine Argent (or possibly D'Argent). Both had died by the marriage of the son in 1873.
I am looking for information on Charles Frederick Garret DELMAGE born probably between 1820 - 1835 and his wife Catherine Argent.
The family has a long history of careers in the police force in Mauritius.
