My grand father was Joseph Henry - His dad was Jonabatese - his dad Joseph Henry - His dad was Jonabatese - his dad Joseph Henry - His dad was Jonabatese. I am told that it was this way from the start. I am not sure about Jonabatese, it could be John Batese DeLuca. He was 14 years old when he jumped ship 2 miles out of New York - yes he was a WOP. I know that he died in a nursing home in California in 1953 or 54. He lived a lot of years in Kansas City Mo. In the 1930's his son, my grandpa, was a ring boxer in Kansas City and they called him "Mulberry Buzzsaw" because he was living in Mulberry Mo., near Kansas City Mo.
Great Grandpa lost his wife in 1929 or 1930, in the Kansas City Hospital Her name was Lulu (Thorpe) DeLuca and she was approx 41 years old.
My Grandpa also had a sister Teresa (DeLuca ) (?)Qusic that died in that hospital.
