About Our Family Research

This branch of De La Campa family has it's origins in the Austurias reqion of Spain. My great grandfather Jose De La Campa immigrated to Habana, Cuba from Spain and settled the family in Cuba during it's birth as a nation. My grandfather Enrique Rafael De La Campa had 14 brothers and sisters. Enrique Rafael De La Campa was active in the politics of pre-revolutionary Cuba. He owned a jewelry store in downtown Habana and was a well-respected engraver. After Fidel Castro's takeover of Cuba, the family sought political asylum in the United States and settled in a Los Angeles suburb of California. I am know living in Texas, am married and have three children of my own. I have very limited information on the family's roots in Spain and have found it difficult to locate other family members throughout the country.
