Although the surname "De Lauche" or "Delauche" is not common it is currently found in France and in some records for Louisiana. It also occurs in two place names in France. My father Louis Albert De Lauche, was led to believe it is a French surname. He lived for an early part of his life with his paternal grandparents in Canada, when he learned to speak French. The name is pronounced like "Delosh" and could be spelled a number of ways, making it difficult to research in Canada. So far, I cannot find any definite information on my father's father and his family in Canada. (as of January 8, 2006.)
