The Joseph Delgatto Family

Updated July 23, 2001

About Our Family Research

The Delgatto family came via Louis Anthony Delgatto, to New York City from Compo Bosso, Italy in the early 1900s. Louis had sons born in the United States as early as 1908. My father, Joseph Delgatto was born in New York in 1910.

My mother's family (Myrtle Moore Delgatto) has been in America since the 17th century. One of our ancestors, James Logan, was William Penn's secretary. This side of the family remained in Philadelphia from the 17th century until my mother and grandmother moved to New York City during the great depression.
