The story of the DeLance family mirrors the story of America. From our earliest known ancestor who made his living farming in New England, only leaving his post to fight for American Independance, to our current family members, we have seen and done it all.

A DeLance has fought in every American war, served their churches and built up their communities as they slowly moved west.

My grandfather Wesley DeLance, was a freemason who brought electricity to a farming community in west central Iowa, his father: a farmer from central iowa, his grandfather: a Civil War Sergeant who moved from his family home in New York to the midwest, and so the story goes on.
