The research for my family's genealogy is made up of research on Ellis Island's website, family member's contributions with their research and pictures (especially from my nephew, John DelVerne, and cousin, Theresa (Lapenta) Silio, Paul Buelterman (Mary Jane's cousin), Carol Ann (Koop) Yarbrough (Mary Jane's sister), folklore, stories from my childhood that led me where to search and the Internet to visit phone books in Europe that substantiate the name with their families that stayed in Europe.

  John and Concetta LaFalce were parents of my maternal grandmother, Theresa (LaFalce) Massimiani. They came from Marcedusa,a little Calabrian town (551 inhabitants) in Southern Italy. It is in the province of Cantanzaro.
