"THE D'Santiago's from Puerto Rico"

Updated August 14, 2001

About Our Family Research

Most of my elders are death and I would like to recreate for the new generation
the family tree..
Most of the are too young to know anything, but it will be most valuable for them in the future.
Like ever last name, I think mine is a very unique last name.
I am worry that out there the facts or information of latino families from Puerto Rico with Spanish background are not where to be found. If anyone have information I will really appreciate it.

My family came from Alava ,Spain in the 12th century near VITORIA.
The spaniards were conquerors and they went anywhere in the new world, and of course they went to Puerto Rico, Mexico and Cuba.

Our last name can be written as De Santiago or Santiago because of the changes through the different generations.

We have live in Puerto Rico for more than a 100 years.
Are you a part of our family or do you know anything about us?
I had found some relatives in Mexico and Cuba. Can you help me with this endeavor?
