The Deloe Family Geneology Research Page

Updated July 6, 2007

About Our Family Research

From all available research, the Deloe family migrated from France to escape religious persecution. They were Huguenots who were hung and burnt at the stake for religious treason. Many found their way to the Palatinate (current Germany) then traveled to England and finally to America in search of religious freedom.
Research suggests that this family is descended from noble men and women of France. Unfortunately, they were a fertile group and so their many offspring inherited less and less. Many were said to go into the fabric trade.
