Patrick John Moriarty and Catherine Burke met in Springfield, MA and were married. They both came here to America from Ireland. Pat from Cappagh, Kerry and was known as "the Brandon Boy" and Catherine from Kiltullagh, Roscommon. They came to the new country to seek a better life and found many hardships. They loved eachother until the death of Catherine (aged 36) in 1930. Pat (Born 1888) lived on till 1976 never the same man again. There children John, Bridget, Ed, Dan, Kathleen, Tom and Pat Jr., also had hard but happy lives. This was a time of dependence. This was a land of hardship. This was a family of promise. Pat and Catherine are buried in Saint Michaels Cemetary in Springfield, MA with all of their children. They have seven Grand Children, Raymond, Thomas, Edward and Joseph Demetrion, Mary Ann (Popco) Moriarty, Teresa (Clifford) Moriarty and Brenda (McNamara)Moriarty, nine Great Grand Children, Raymond Demetrion III, Eric Demetrion, Matthew Demetrion, Meghan -Cowdrey-Demetrion, Jonathan Edward Demetrion, Erica and Daniell McNamara and one Great-Great Grand Daughter, Adelyne Bridget Cowdrey-Demetrion. Patrick John Moriarty came to this country on the Cunard ship Saxonia and arrived in Boston, May 19,1910 Pat's father was John Moriarty known locally in Kerry as "Murry", was born 1852, his mother was Bridget Moyniham from Camp and died (1893?) Pat's brother Tom was known as "Harris" and played for the Irish National Rugby Team. Pat had two sisters, Mary and Lizzy. Mary married a Lynch and had a son Pat and Lizzy I don't think married.
