I am the daughter of Joe Harvey Dement of Jonesboro Ar.
The Information that I have has been passed on to me thru my parents as well as my fathers sisters.
His parents were James Sanford Dement born on Feb.20-1896 died 10-03-1974 in Little Rock Ar. VA Hospital & Ruth Dyse Alambaugh born 3-31-1910 Died at her home in Waldron Ar. on 1-31-1972.
His siblings are as follows:
Pearl Eveline Dement Dunham Born in Beatrice Ar. on 4-03-1930
Presently resides in Jonesboro Ar.
Sadie Bell Dement Corter Born in Lake City Ar. on 5-22-1935
Last Known address Nebraska.
Mary Elise Dement Atnip born in Lake City Ar. on 3-25-1942
Last known address unknown.
Martha Beatrice Dement Harris Born in Lake City Ar. on 3-15-1944
Last known address unknown.
Jimmy Glen Dement born in Bono Ar. on 7-12-46
Last known address Texas.
Joe Harvey Dement born in Monette Ar. on 2-2-1948 Died in Jonesboro Ar. on 9-10-1994 buried in Strawfloor Cemetary.
There was also 4 other boys that died.
16 month old Jean, 3-4 week old Shirl, Billy Quinton Born dead, Jerry Donald born dead on 1-20-1940.
The only other info that I have is James Sanford Dements father was James Hillman Dement born 8-21-1871 died 1932 married Emma Thomas he is buried at Wilkerson Cemetary in Grange Ar.
James Hillman Dements father was James Bridget Dement born 10-12-1830 (JB) in Tn. fought in the Cival War married Samanthat Jane McCormick born on 4-8-1950 in Giles County Tn.Died 2-14-1938 buried in wilkerson cemetary in Grange Ar.(Sharp County)
They were married on 10-16-1870 in Woodruff county Ar.
