Have started tracing the family of Edward Lewis(b. 1913, d. 1978) my grandfather and his wife, Rose Poyser( b.1908, d. 1978).
At present, I have only his descendants but am trying to uncover his family history.
My grandmother, I have a more information, and have history back to the 1840's on her paternal side.
Samuel Poyser, my great grandfather, was a wheelright who made the wheels for most of the barrows used on Rathbone Street market in London W1, and I am currently researching that. My grandmother was one of 5 children - sisters, Ivy, Lily, and Alice and a brother Harry.
In my research, so far, I have found a lady whose ggrandfather was my ggrandfathers brother, and another whose link is a generation before, being that my gggrandfather (the father of the above two) was brother to her ancestor. I also found a lady who shares cousins with my mum and aunt,as this lady's uncle married my grandmother's sister Ivy.
My intention is to write a family history for my grandkids.
