This page is about the family of John and Ann Daley Dempsey of Old Phoenix Park Road, Branch Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. He and Ann Daley were married in Doonane, Queens County, Ireland on February 21, 1846. They sailed aboard the ship "Venice" which departed from Liverpool, England on April 30, 1846, bound for the port of New York. They first lived in Forestville, Cass Twp., Schuylkill County and in 1857 moved to Branch Township, Schuylkill Co. PA, just outside of Minersville on the old road to Phoenix Park. They had the following children: James, b. Dec. 24, 1846; Edward V., b. Dec. 26, 1848; Patrick J., b. Dec. 28, 1850; Mary, b. Mar. 8, 1853; Margaret, b. 1855; Catherine, b. June 7, 1857; John, b. 1858; William, b. 1861; Julia, b. 1865. James never married, Edward V. married Elizabeth Brennan at Centralia, PA in 1871, Patrick J. married Catherine Gorey at Centralia, PA in 1878, Mary married Thomas Burke in 1882, Catherine married Edward Brady in Minersville about 1886, Margaret never married, John married Mary Brennan in Heckscherville, PA about 1882, William first married Mary Dolan, who died, and then Catherine Sweeney about 1885 and Julia, no information available.
