Includes NotesNotes for Harmon Davis, Jr.:
"It has been confirmed that Pheobe, wife of Harmon Davis Jr. died shortly after child birth 1798 and he remarried Dorothy Oswald in 1799 In Newberry Co, SC. Dorothy was the only mother our Harman knew. After Harmon Jr. death in 1805, Harmon lll lived with his step mother til he married Nancy Posey. This was found at the SAR in book Annuals of Newberry Co, SC.[600 pages] So all the talk abt the Davis book not proven is bull, this book does confirm a lot of the Davis book. I asked one of our Kentucky cousins to look it up and now I'm asking the SAR for interstate book loan. Sara is coping all the Davis information and sending for my records. It has marriages records etc, but no wills. Just thought I would pass this on."
