My gdf. is an Oxford Graduate, who then became a Guard at Buckingham Palace. His family were in the banking business, and this would take him to CapeTown, south Africa, to work. James Nichols, would meet and marry a woman from there. And to Canada they would come to live because of controvery over thier marriage. He would end his life with two wives and nineteen children. My grd. father, James Bowler, would arrive from Ireland to NewYork, where most of my family is still living. My grandfather with a friend of the families daughter, age fourteen, married Edith Pearl Loveland in Canada. They stayed married for all thier life and had eight children, which my father, Norman James is a middle son. I do know that my gdf, J.Nichols was a respected and highly educated man from a wealthy family in London Eng. Life was not always this way for him though. He was born in Liverpool near the docks in Nov. 16, 1896. As for the Bowler side, we did have a reunion about thirty years back, and I found out that I had relatives from Texas as well. Still alot of hunting to do yet. I was born in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, in 1952. I was All girl athlete of Oshawa in the sixties. I have recieved a writers award while in school, Literary Guild Award, as so did my daughter many years later.
