About Our Family Research

I am Ann Lynn langendorfer Derner. The Derner trees started with Jacob Derner when he emigrated to the WNY in 1881. He is the Great Grand father of my husband Donald C. Derner, a retired DCFF. My Family tree includes, the following names: Langendorfer, Aldinger, Berner, Bender, Fischer, Kittell, , Mentz, Crandall, Luss, Krause. I have the Langendorfer back to the 1700's and a Coat of Arms. The Aldinger Coat of Arms ( all from Germany). Henery Kittell Brother oF my Great Grandmother Katherine Fischer Kittell, was in the civil war and served with th 151 st Regiment of Niagara County, NY were he signed up for service, He married Mary wolfe a neighbor after he came home from the war.
The Kittell's came fram Darmsted Germany , December 5, 1852 from Bremen. Katherine KittellJohn G. Fischer, about 1858 In SpringBrook NY where hehad a General Store and was the Postmaster.Later they moved to Buffalo and had a store Michigan ave with their son Corneilus. Cornelius is my Grandfather , he married my grandmother Minnie Stahl Fischer. Her Parents were whilelmenia Krause and Rev Mentz, from Wayne County, NY were he was a circut rider. Christian stoll married Katherine Luss. They emigrated from Schwerin , Germany with their son John and sister Mary. The bought a farm in1864 in Elma, NY and this is my ancestral home which is still there and my nephew David Langendorfer lives there now.

The Langendorfers, emigrated in 1871 gtom Bremen on the Ship Weser. They bought a farm in West Seneca NY. Jacob Langendorfer married Sophia Bender and they had 8 children. One of their childredn John Henry Langendorfer married Mary Ann Berner in Blossom NY. They had 9 children . Mary Ann died in Childbirth at the age of 56. At this time my Grandfather had to hire and housekeeper, Lenna Hauser, who he later married. The Langendorfer are buried in Mt Hope Cemetry in Ebenezer, NY. Rev Mentz is buried behind his church in Locke Berlin Cemetery in Galen, Wayne County,NY. John Kittell and his wife Ann Maria Becht. He is buried in Blossom Cemetery in West Seneca, NY.
After John died, the farm in Blossom was sold in 1884. Ann Maria moved to Manhattan , Kansas to live with her son Henry Kittell and his wife Mary Wolfe Kittell. Henry & Mary lived in Cambridge , Md. when they were first married. Henry Kittell moved to Kansas, after her death and marrred Anna Boldt.

The Christian Stoll and his wife Katherine are buried in the Union Cemetery in Springbrook NY. The next Generation of Stahls are buried inOakwood Cemetery East Aurora, NY as well the the Lagendorfers.
