About Our Family Research

This site is dedicated to my children, to help in the research of their roots from their mother's side. My genealogical background have extensive study from my parents who have published or helped in the research of many significant works, such as "Los Mejia de Guayaquil y Bahia" by Guillermo de Rubira Orellana, "Mamita Grande y su Familia - Descendencia de Hortensia Mata de Ordonez" by Cecilia Mejia de Rubira, "Los Rubira en Ecuador" by Francisco Ortiz Rubira, and "Ramas y Floracion de una Estirpe Gloriosa" by Isabel Moscoso Davila & Miguel Malo Gonzales. In this site I intend to record the familial ties to the Berberich, Saur, Halsted, Pfeferle and others. My wife Susan Berberich de Rubira has family that come from Denver, Ohio, Canada and Europe, primarily France and Germany.
