In 1978, I became interested in researching my family tree. The search brought me to contact branches of the Rochte, Myers, Smith, Phillips, Bates, Crom, Brown, Newton, McFadden, McCain, Gregory,along with the Dieters. Most of the branches ended up in Ohio after a rich heritage and culture. I have found a lot of details for four generations, but had difficulty following the lines back to Europe (except England).

I am using this site to include pictures as well as a brief family tree history. Although our family has scattered I claim Northwest Ohio as home, and look forward to hear from others that might be related to me.
