Most of my people came to American very early. A lot of my people settled in PA. Some went to VA and others to E TN. Then there is another side of my family that must have settled in the Carolinas and then moved on to middle TN. From there they moved to AL. Also some came from W VA.
When a child one of my grandmothers, Alice Stover Diehl, talked about genealogy and I have been interested off and on since then. My surname is Diehl. I married a Smith from KS. If a person looks long enough they will find out that they are kin to just about everyone. Some of the names in my family are Diehl, Stover, Peters, Hartman, Bowman, Blankenship, Thornton, and a lot more that I can not think of at the time. I have three children and six grandchildren plus two great grandchildren.
