I was brought up in Washington Co, TN. The Diehls came from VA and Lancaster Co, PA. I think the Diehls are from Germany. My Grandmother Diehl was a Stover and a DAR member. She went to Carson Newman College. I had a half Uncle that went to the University of TN. My mother's people came from Lincoln Co, TN and Huntsville Al. I have the surnames in my tree as following, Stover, Peters, Creed, Brook, Smithpeters, Fletcher, Blankenship, Thornton, Hartman, Wetzel, Smith, Lonon, Nixon,Holt, Bowman, Mottern, Garst and others that have sliped my mind at the present time. I also have a mother-in-law who went west on a orphin train. Also I have the names of English and Bell in my family.
The Diehl's were Brethrer and the Blankenship's and Stovers were Baptist. Carter Co & Johnson Co Tn also are a big part of my research..
