FORMERLY OF FREEDOM - Elizabeth Olena Dillon, 93, formerly of Freedom and Rochester Township, passed away Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, in The Medical Center, Beaver.
Born April 26, 1910, in New Brighton, she was a daughter of the late Clairence Hugh and Mayme Pearl Sallade McCoy. She was a member of Freedom Eagles (FOE) 1429; the Pennsylvania State Grandmother Order of Eagles; a life member of the Moose Club, formerly of Freedom; the White Shrine, Monaca; the Naomi Chapter Order of Eastern Star of Monaca, and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter J. Dillon, in 1962, her husband and long time companion, Leo Anderson; a son, Clairence H. "Sonny" Collins; a son-in-law, Edward T. Campbell; two brothers, Carl A. McCoy and C. Ross McCoy; three sisters, Mary Icenhour, Beatrice Pletz and Dorothy Sheets, and a stepson, Alfred O. Dillon.
She is survived by five daughters, Irene V. Campbell and her husband, Glenn, Beaver Falls; Betty L. Campbell, New Brighton; Mary Ellen Bailey and her fiancé, Jack Muron, Monaca; Dorothy M. Wiltrout and her husband, William, Eastvale; Sandra A. Kennedy and her husband, Richard "Butch", New Sewickley Township; two sons, Edward C. Dillon, New Brighton, and Richard P. Dillon, of Virginia; stepchildren, Carol Waddell, Gettysburg, Pa.; Walter J. Dillon Jr., of Ga.; Lee "Pete" Anderson, Ridgeway, Pa.; Carol Sherrock and her husband John, Mesa, Ariz., and Patricia Anderson; a sister-in-law and friend, Helen McCoy; 27 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in CAMPBELL'S NEW BRIGHTON FUNERAL HOME, www.campbellfuneralhomes.com, 1133 Penn Ave., where a service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Singleton, of the Free Methodist Church of Rochester, officiating.
Private interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Freedom.
