Notes for Elboin De Sallade: Elboin De Sallade St. Fry was "the" progenitor of our family. He was a knight who lived about the year 964, a most honarable man of great strength and courage. A tale of unusual bodily strength was of a time he crushed the skull of a bear or wolf. His wife Genoveva St. Pierre bore him many children. "The Holy Genoveva" convent was built in her honor after her death. The convent existed until sometime at the end of the 16th century. The Coat of Arms, with variations, and the name De Sallade mean "helmet" Very little is known about her children. Exceptions are possibly Alwin De Sallade and Harvey De Sallade.
