THE DILLARDS and RELATIONS of CENTRAL & EAST ALABAMA
Updated February 7, 2009
| About Our Family Research |
|
My great-grandfather Dillard died in 1900 and my father was born in 1903. My father always regretted that he had never known his grandfather and knew so little about him. I took on the task of gathering family information for Dad. This was before computers and the Internet so I began my research in the microfilm files of the LDS and the Alabama State Archives.
By the time of the Internet I had become engrossed in developing my family's genealogy. The Internet was the real expediting factor. Online censuses became available and were invaluable, but the greatest sources are the family lists with the sharing of research findings with heretofore unknown cousins - wonderful people that had it not been for the genealogy research I would have never met or known of our common ancestors.

- Dillards & Relations of Alabama (197 KB)
This is an imperfect & incomplete effort to gather as much of the Dillard & Relations genealogical information as possible without benefit of on-site research. My documentation is not professional. When the data is not proven, I have tried to so indicated.
