My name is Richard Doern and I live in Săo Paulo city, Brazil, South America.
Since 1700 the great part of the family Dörn (in German language is Dörn because the “ö” is “oe” to us) lives in Sohren, a little city near Koblenz, Germany. The region is called “Hunsrück”. Based on my researches, there are some records that show us that, originally, our name was Deren and Dehren and the first man came from France, probably because: 1) the region of Koblenz city is very near from France; 2) Napoleon, the French General, invaded the west part of the land that nowadays we know as Germany and, 3) At this time, Germany as a country, didn’t exist as a unique country.
I’ve reproduced part of my Family Tree records, as below:
1) Johann Adam Dörn (oct.1674 – jan.1732): 7 sons (1 boy)
1.1) Johann Peter Dörn (nov.1708 – jan 1756): 8 sons (3 boys)

1.1.3.1.1) Johann Heinrich Dörn (sep.1802 – jan.1857): 3 sons (3 boys) Married to Maria Christine Echterndiht from Belgiun
1.1.3.1.1.1) Jakob Dörn (apr.1838 – aug.1907) Married to Maria Katharina Schmidt from Belgium

1.1.3.1.2) Mathias Dörn (may.1805 – aug.1866) Married to Maria Elisabeth Engers
1.1.3.1.3) Johann Jakob Dörn (died with 13 years old)
1.1.3.1.4) Johann Peter Dörn (died with 17 years old)
My family descend from 1.1.3.1.2) Mathias Dörn. One of his sons, Johann Jakob Dörn emigrated to Brazil in 1863. My son Konrad is the 6th generation in Brazil.
