Over the last five years I have conducted various research on the Ryan family of Salem, Massachusetts. With the help of the computer, library archives, family recollections and relatives in Ireland, I was able to find out that my great grandparents came from Galway. My parents and I traveled to Tuam, Galway, met relatives of my paternal grandmother, Catherine Donnellan. We were able to see the foundation of the house where Catherine was born in Brownsgrove, Tuam, Co. Galway.
I would now like to trace my great-grandfather, Michael Ryan, as well as my great-grandparents Sands (Elizabeth (Robinson) Sands and George Sands who lived in New York but came over here from Belfast, North of Ireland. I would also like to find out where my mother's relatives (Butler) came from in Ireland.
If there is anyone out there that has a connection to my family, please let me know.
