As far back as I have been able to find (six generations), the Dojan family was from the Germany/Poland/Russia area. Frederich Dojan and Justine Engelbrecht had four children to my knowledge: Frederich A. born in Posen, Prussia
Carl born in Warsaw, Poland (Russia at the time)
Wilhelm born in Warsaw, Poland (Russia at the time)
A daughter (name unknown)
All three brothers came to the U.S. and settled :
Frederich A. in Stillwater, Minnesota
Carl in Southbridge, Massachusetts
Wilhelm in Reading, Pennsylvania
I have compiled a family tree and need help completing it.
