Our Family is descended from Ephraim Tharp and Susannah Jarrard from Hunterdon County, NJ. They are burried in the Garrison-Tharp Cemetery on Rt. 579. Ephraim was born 2/7/1803 and Susannah on 6/20/1807. Susannah's parents were Joseph and Mary Jarrard burried in the same family cemetery. Ephraim and Susannah had 12 children. Joseph, Mary, William, Ann, Isaac, Sarah, George, James, Jonas, Caturah, Susan and James Farmer.
It is know that Ann, George and James died as children. William moved to Franklin, Cnty., Ohio and married Lydia Lomerson.
My direct descendent is Jonas b. 1848 d. 1917 who married Elizabeth Robbins Wright. Elizabeth had 4 children by a marriage to Reuben K. Wright: William, Calvin, Mary and Harmon K. Jonas and Elizabeth had 2 children: Roger Sherman and Charles Dickens. Jonas Jarrard Tharp is burried in the Locust Grove Cemetery in Quakertown, NJ and Elizabeth was interred with her first husband in the Robbins Family Cemetery on Rt. 579.
My line continues from these descendents on the Tharp/Jarrard side of my family. Other surnames include: Case/Rittenhouse/Robbins/Fleck/Stengle/Kimmenhour/Fleming/Stout
